Your idea for a sustainable and climate-friendly club scene

If you can’t go outside, go inside! We are sure that you are bursting with ideas that make nightlife more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The Future Party Idea Contest, organized by the Clubtopia project, offers a platform for innovative concepts and solutions for a future-oriented club culture. Right now, the club scene is facing one of its most diffcult challenges. You can help not only by donating, but also by sharing your ideas! You already have a vision of how to make clubbing more sustainable? Apply by August 31st, 2020 and send us your concepts!

Who is invited to participate?

We are open to anyone who is eager to make nightlife greener: Clubs, event organisers, event-related businesses and nightlife suppliers, artists and interested clubbers are welcome to send in their concepts. You can apply as individual or as a team in following categories:

projects/ initiatives: individuals or groups, project teams, non-profit associations, collectives, artists, students

business: clubs, suppliers, beverage producers, tech companies

special category: Flagship projects (already realized ideas)

Which type of idea can you apply with?

Categories “business” and “projects”

From the solar-fueled sound system to seed bomb confetti. From the parade that combines silent disko and climate activism to a cloakroom for bikes. These entrepreneurs and organizations all started with a great idea. And we are convinced that in your creative mind you will find similar great solutions for a greener nightlife.

Send us your concepts and solutions protecting the climate at club events indoor or outdoor. This includes all ideas which are ecologically sustainable: they save resources, reduce energy consumption, reduce pollutants and waste or contribute by other means to climate and environmental protection. You can also send in concepts which are particularly socially compatible or economically viable.

Some examples for ideas: event concepts, technical solutions for clubs and events, guidelines or codes of conduct for club scene players, construction measures, creative solutions.

Special category

Already realized ideas can be rewarded as flagship projects in our special category. This means you have already implemented your project.

How to apply?

Simply answer the questions in our application form and send the completed questionnaire as a PDF document to hello@clubliebe-festival.org. Please indicate “Future Party Idea Contest” as subject of your email. You are also welcome to submit drafts, pictures, logos, audio or video files in addition to your idea.

Deadlines

The deadline for submitting your idea is August 31st, 2020. Get started now! The winners will expectedly be announced on September 24th in a award ceremony.

Rewards

Let’s not forget about the reward! The winners of the categories “business” and “projects” get rewarded with a crowdfunding consultation by Startnext, giving you the tools to prepare the financing of your project.

Furhermore, particpating in the contest, you will get feedback from our expert jury (see below) and hence offer you a great proof of concept. We will organize a feedback workshop destinated at giving your idea the finishing touch.

Furthermore we will spread the word about your idea: You receive a certificate and supporting press material. We are getting you ready for the realization of your idea!

The award-winning ideas of the special category “flagship project” receive a certificate, supporting press material and will be mentioned as winners in our press releases.

Who is organizing the contest?

The Future Party Idea Contest is part of the Clubtopia project which promotes a more sustainable and climate-friendly clubscene. The project is a cooperation between BUND Berlin and clubliebe association and is funded by the Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection Berlin. The University of Applied Sciences in sustainable development Eberswalde, the center for sustainable tourism and Livekomm are supporting the project. Additionally, the Idea Contest gets support by Startnext and Alex TV who function as media partners.

Our jury

Our top-level jury is composed by representatives from the field of sustainability and club culture: Petra Sitzenstock (Clubcommission Berlin e.V.), Matthias Krümmel (BUND Berlin e.V.), Alexander Pritzkow (clubliebe e.V.), Corina Conrad-Beck (Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection Berlin), Christian Ordon (LiveKomm), Hartmut Rein (University of Applied Sciences in sustainable development Eberswalde), Sabrina Konzok (Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany), Lisa Wiedemuth (brewery and social business Quartiermeister) und Birte Jung (freelance consultant, Grüne Liga Berlin).
